While some Dutch people were concerned about toilet paper, we were panicking because of basic necessities. It had taken years before Roy was set properly on his medication. And what were we going to feed our baby?

That was the moment when we no longer took everything for granted, when we started putting some standard items in the pantry.

February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine and again there was panic in Europe, again epilepsy medicines were not available and we were happy that we had some saved up.
